About Us
The Ringgold Area Youth Soccer Association is an organized non-profit soccer program for the youth within the greater Ringgold Area School District communities.
The mission of Ringgold Area Youth Soccer Association is to develop players at all levels of play by building and improving their soccer skills, confidence, fitness, initiative and a sense of teamwork. RAYSA encourages and promotes ethical and moral behavior, good sportsmanship and community involvement.
Recreational soccer In-House U6 to U10 age groups is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without an increased emphasis on travel or high-level competition. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a lifelong love of the game.
Travel Soccer U10 to U18 is devoted to player and team development in a more competitive environment. As players become more skilled, desire a more competitive soccer environment, and become willing to commit greater time to training, the Travel program exists for them as a higher-level athletic experience. All players, new and returning, of every ability and experience level are welcome.
The Lil Rams program offered by RAYSA is a developmentally appropriate program introducing preschool age children, before eligible for the regular U6 In-House program teams, to fundamental soccer principles with and without a ball, such as using their feet, dribbling, and the basic rules of the game. Through fun games, positive reinforcement, and qualified coaching, children will experience the joy of playing soccer and being active from an early age.
The TOPSoccer program offered by RAYSA is a recreational sports program modified for children with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities. TOPSoccer provides children with diverse abilities an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive. The TOPSoccer program with Ringgold Area Youth Soccer Association is also open to families from neighboring youth soccer leagues as well as across the other South Hills and Mon-Valley communities of Western PA.
