**Travel coaches must

(2) please plan this well in advance of the soccer season needed, as scheduling the in-person on-field training part of the age group certification in Step 3 at a
convenient location can be difficult
(3) Under Step 3 with the in-person on-field training part of the age group certification, please notify the RAYSA board at [email protected] if unable to
locate a nearby training session location offered by PA West. Do not sit and wait assuming a closer location will become available soon. A Board member
will have to get clarification from the PA West office.
Step 1
Get all your Clearances *****Clearances are good for 5 years.
A. Criminal Record- https://epatch.state.pa.us/
· PA State Police Criminal Record Checks are free for volunteers and cost approximately $22.00 for those who are paid. They can be obtained online by visiting the State Police web site:
B. Child Abuse History Report-

· PA Child Abuse History Clearance requests may be made online.
· They are free for volunteers and the cost is approximately $8.00 for those who are paid.
C. FBI Criminal Background Check- https://uenroll.identogo.com/
- This link will take you to the page managed by Identogo for the Commonwealth of PA to help individuals attain an FBI clearance. The Service Code you'll need (1KG6ZJ). The approximate cost will be $21.35.

D. Complete Safe Sport certification

Step 2
Register Through RAYSA to be a coach- https://www.ringgoldaysa.org/
- You will need to login if you have an account. **If not you will need to make an account.**
- update RAYSA website family account profile as a volunteer coach
- Fill in all the information about yourself.
- This is where you can scan in your safe sport, licenses, and photo of yourself.
- email copies to the RAYSA board at [email protected]
Step 3

Create a US Soccer Profile- https://learning.ussoccer.com/coach/
1. Grassroots intro
· Please log into your account. *** IF you don’t have one please go to Sign Up.
· Fill out all the information. This is where your information for all your licenses will be.
· This is where you can take the Grassroots intro.
· Go to course menu and hit Grassroots intro. Will take 20 minutes.
· Then please email RAYSA support to let them know you took Grassroots.
2. Certification for coaches based on age group/ division
- PA West requirement - One certified coach per team, but we encourage all rostered coaches to become certified.

There are 2 parts to this age group certification with PA West
(1) online self-guided course
(2) in-person on-field training
o 4v4 for U6 and U8
o 7v7 u10
o 9v9 u12
o 11 v11 for 14 and above
· It is your responsibility to make sure your certification is current (For example, if you know you are moving from U8 to U10 in the fall, please complete the 7v7 instead of the 4v4)
· You will be reimbursed, by RAYSA, for the cost of this training.
· Please send copy of certificate and receipt to RAYSA support to get reimbursed.
Step 4

· Please make sure that this is your account and push yes, this is my account
· This is where you will add all your clearances (A picture of yourself, Child Abuse and Criminal clearances, Safe sport)
· Fill out all the star information
· Then push the EXCEPT ELA button
· Click on no pay due
· You can print for your records
· Then log out
